PRISON/REHABILITATION MINISTRY
Since 2004, TCJC has provided “Chapel Christian Worship” services to the inmates at the Vernier Women’s Correctional Centre in Milton. This service is offered through the Chaplaincy Volunteer Program. Services are held on the 1st Sunday of each month and on the occasional 5th Sunday, consisting of praise and worship, scripture reading, prayers and a sermon.
On each 4th Sunday of the month, a delegation from Triumphant travels to the Syl Apps Youth Centre in Oakville, Ontario to minister to youth who are experiencing mental health and youth justice issues. We hold chapel services where attendees enjoy an hour and a half of singing, worship, an encouraging word, intriguing discussion and Q&A
Matthew 25: 34-36 – Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
