CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

The Christian Education department is entrusted with edifying the congregation in the Word of God. Historically referred to as “Sunday School”, this department caters to saints of all ages. Classes are structured according to age and qualified teachers instruct students in the ways of righteousness according to the Word of God as contained in the Bible.

Each class provides exciting and stimulating lessons that are tailored to the needs of the students. Classes are held for an hour each Sunday morning.

The kindergarten classes (for ages 2 and up) are instructive, stimulating and fun! While providing a sound Christian education, these classes will also (i) help children to develop reading, writing and research skills, (ii) build confidence and self-esteem, (iii) teach manners and respect for others, (iv) provide training in public speaking, and (v) encourage lifelong learning.

The Christian Education Department oversees the Bus Ministry and works along with the Youth Department to organize and support “Kids’ Day” and the “Youth Jam” summer picnic.

Each year also features a formal graduation and end-of-year program. During this event, students demonstrate their talents and share what they have learned through various speaking, dramatic, artistic and musical presentations.
