About the Brotherhood Department
In a culture where the definition of 'manhood' is
debated, some men may be wondering what the next step should be.
They do not feel confident in making decisions about their future
and struggle with the ever-changing definitions of masculinity and
manliness. The Brotherhood department of Triumphant was established
to tackle and provide answers to these and other puzzling questions.
The brotherhood's continued mission is to ensure
that all makes become mature and godly men. Their aim is to cultivate
men who are not just physically developed but who possess the mind
and character of a holy God; men of character and integrity; loving
husbands and fathers; men of honour and men who are positive role
models to our youths. These goals are not far fetched because God
has ordained men to hold unique and special roles in families, communities
and the church.
Over the years there has been a strategic move of
God within this ministry. Members of this fellowship strongly believe
in the power of prayer, for the Bible reminds us that we should
do so without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Therefore, the leadership
of the Brotherhood department has appointed a time where men can
bow their knees before the Lord on every third Friday night of each
month. Sequentially, various gentlemen within our church facilitate
the Sunday service immediately following the Friday of prayer and
fellowship.
The gathering on third Friday nights is also an
opportunity where men can learn empowering life skills in a variety
of areas. We truly believe that Triumphant Church is a place where
lives can be transformed, and the thirst for righteousness can be
filled. Areas of education include relationships, finances and coping
skills. In addition, men also learn practical skills, such as plumbing,
masonry, electrical circuitry, landscaping and ground maintenance,
from resident tradesmen. All of these tools are essential in building
men of integrity and godly character. In turn, they will build strong
godly families, strong godly communities and ultimately, a strong
godly nation.
God is using the Brotherhood department to counteract
the destructive effects of the present world system on man at a
time jointly through education and the anointed spiritual gifts.
Combined, these two gifts are evidence that God has destined man
to live as leaders in our communities. The department endeavors
and desires to reach cultures represented in our community and people
from all socioeconomic backgrounds. The word of God has no boundaries.
Jesus died and rose again to deliver every soul. The choice to believe,
however, is up to each of us (St. John 3:16).
One of the highlights of the department is there
participation in the Apostolic Cricket Fellowship: a cricket league
made up mostly of Christian men from several participating church
in Toronto and New York. The fellowship culminates into the Apostolic
Men's Conference in the winter of every year. It is such a joy to
see men arising to the challenge and matching their divine mission.
One of the high points of the conference is the men's choir which
is has grown to approximately 85 men strong. So come and join the
pursuit of becoming a godly man.
